As an avowed Japanophile, this series portrays both the formalness and the intimacy of the culture. From the haunting intro music to the happy recipes at the end, the show is a delight through and through. The cast is superb, covering every aspect of human behavior, riotously funny and painfully sad, each episode plays up a new emotion and life story. We love the Master who presides over his customers aways providing just the dish that fills the void that evening because, "It's my policy." A must watch. Don't forget the subtitles unless you are fluent in Japanese.
