It pains me to write this review but I feel it's necessary. I agree with everything that has been written about this series by those who left three and four star reviews. So I won't reiterate. I found that most episodes drag on without anything to grab onto. Even the characters that we love seem to be a bit spiteful and resentful and the rest of them are all liars and villains and cheats. In my opinion what makes a series great is a balance of different personalities amongst the characters. There hasn't been anyone who has endeared me to them by ways of doing things that were loyal or loving. It seems like every character is either negative or too dramatic. No one or nothing has made me smile or laugh, (Where's Angus when you need him?). The birthing of Julia's child in episode 6 took the length of a Bible and being Lord Lovett was nearby, one would think they would receive his wrath for possibly upsetting Julie enough to harm the baby. If that's the way it was in Scotland in the 1700s then I'm almost ashamed that I'm Scottish. However I must agree that the cinematography has been brilliant costumes and the actors are on point and with a few improvements of character development it still has a chance to be great. I just think Diana Gabaldon should be more involved in the script for season 2 if this show is to continue.

I thought it had just enough comedy action fantasy and most of all I had a good storyline I wonder who wanted this movie to fail so bad that they wrote reviews before it even dropped yesterday? Hm?

What a refreshing story. I fell in love with the love, sorrow and adventure. It was beauty itself...
