loved the premise of this movie and madelaine’s performance was killer. the backstory was well thought out and there were many unsettling scenes and riveting twists that had me questioning everything. the plot was unique and mysterious while not compromising realism. bonus points for being aesthetically pleasing.

this film is honestly underrated. i don’t resonate with people who say this movie is underwhelming. it made me feel on edge and uncomfortable while also being absurd. i thoroughly enjoyed the found footage style of the cinematography. the unpredictability of the antagonist kept me on my toes throughout. one of my favorites in the horror genre.

engaging with some decent jump scares. i found the backstory and character arc of diana to be interesting. i was disappointed because i felt that there could have been more done with the plot and the resolution felt a bit rushed. the storyline wasn’t too cliche or overdone. overall a solid horror movie.

this movie was okay, but could have been better. i enjoyed the cinematography and the acting was decent, but the reveal of the husband being the perpetrator was short-lived and rather anticlimactic. the plot was also predictable, which took away from the suspense i was expecting. not the best nor the worst thriller i’ve seen.
