My Opinion on the Anime “Attack on Titan”
Lessons I’ve Learned:
1. A Powerful Storyline:
The anime presents a deep and meaningful storyline filled with moral and ethical lessons that everyone can reflect upon.
2. The Need to Reduce Cruelty:
However, the extreme violence and brutality could be lessened. For example, scenes where Titans crush humans or when Eren massacres people outside Paradis are too graphic. (Like Mikasa, Armin, and Eren’s other friends, I also disagree with this part.)
3. The Importance of an Active Life:
Young people should live active and meaningful lives — like Eren, Mikasa, and Armin who joined the Scout Regiment — rather than spending too much time on mobile phones.
4. Avoiding Sexualization:
Excessive sexual content or the exposure of women’s bodies should be avoided. A story can still achieve great success and high ratings, as seen with Attack on Titan, without resorting to such elements.
The key is to focus on a strong storyline, moral depth, and a message that benefits humanity.
Stories that rely on sexual content often lose their true purpose and fail to nurture noble values in society.
Creating a story should not be just about profit — it should convey a meaningful message that inspires people.
Examples of high-quality, less sexualized anime include those by Studio Ghibli, Doraemon, The Promised Neverland, Daddy Long Legs, and Attack on Titan itself etc.
5. Social and Religious Symbolism:
The Eldians in this anime can be seen as a reflection of Muslims who are often unfairly labeled as terrorists a clear parallel to Islamophobia.
(This is not about Ymir’s lineage or “the Path,” but rather the deeper message of discrimination and misunderstanding.)
In truth, all humans are creations of God.
6. Paradis Island and Palestine:
Paradis Island symbolizes oppressed nations like Palestine, which continues to suffer injustice and attacks from others.
7. Family and Loyalty:
Today, many young people fall into moral decay due to free relationships and lack of values, leading to misery and emptiness.
True happiness comes from love within marriage, where strength, knowledge, and faith build a meaningful family.
Examples include Eren’s father and Historia, who embraced family life with purpose and responsibility.
