This show says a lot, and it's quite hard to say in a small google review. I remember watching it with some of my friends and they didn't like it because they didn't get this kind of humor, nor did they understand much of being the LGBTQ+ community. As someone who is a part of it and also had similar struggles to Mae, I felt very touched and heard. I waited to see more from the show for quite a while, almost forgot about it until they finally came out with its new season on Netflix. I loved the second season, with the background characters and the lessons learned in each ep., I grew very emotionally connected. I can understand people's frustration with Scott and Arnie, how Mae couldn't speak up. But I believe it was a move to push victims to say something. Us as an audience see how wrong it is to stand down, so take this show as a way to stand up, and speak up. Not only that, but in the end, Mae got some closure from Scott that they had needed for some time. I also like how The show represented non-binaries, or at least how to ask for pronouns. Everything was well done and I'm glad I found this show.
