What's good - shows several veterans working together and their varying experiences coping with traumatic stress. Symptoms of PTSD are accurate to diagnostic criteria.
What's pretty terrible - the plot centers around T.C. who is clearly exhibiting signs of impairment and should not have a medical license. The character is impulsive
to the point of being dangerous and anyone who disagrees is either gaslighted into going along with him or is made to look like an antagonist. T.C.'s character is cliche to the point of being ridiculous and unbelievable. You want to like him and the show tries to force that issue but in the end, he just isn't a very likeable character.
Overall the show could have been much better if the writers and show runner would have mellowed T.C.'s character out to not force feed him to the audience; if the characters and plot lines were allowed to develop at a more natural pace, and if most of the characters and plot lines were not dripping in cliche. I wanted to like it but ultimately it is a show that by the middle of the first season feels like it has gone on for too long. It has been designated as a "put it on and go to sleep"/background noise show until I fall asleep at night.
