The developers obviously wanted this game to be a lot of things but failed at making any one of them a reality.
You can tell that executives wanted the game to play like God of War combat wise but to have the platforming of Uncharted. The problem is that Jedi: Fallen Order is just a subpar version of both other games with a Star Wars skin applied.
I suggest watching a video of the story of the game and just buy God of War and Uncharted. You will get the story you want and 2 better games in the process.
