My reading has been stalled lately. I love stephen king books and have read them since the 70s. I was attracted to this book because it was thinner than normal and I liked the retro look of the cover.
I was hooked with the 1st page.
The character is chatting to the reader telling his story. Putting in little side quips about "how you will hear more about this later" for example. The book is just the right length and King describes all the characters beautifully as usual. I recommend this to everyone. It is classified as a crime. Do not be put off by this. It isn't really a crime. In fact I would classify it as a teenage and/or LGBTQ+ read as well. Interestingly Kings books normal end bad for all his characters but this ends with revelation and acceptance.
