this game is so disappointing… everything that was good about previous 2k games (if you think of them as good) has been changed to fit this new direction, and it’s awful. genuinely was excited for this game, as it’s been nearly 3 years since the last installment, but even since it’s been out it’s had issues plaguing the entire game like universe crashing (which is fixed for me after 1.06, some people it didn’t). i had high expectations for mygm but it’s a shell of the thq version. the worst part is the rey mysterio showcase mode. filled with terrible kayfabe commentary from rey himself, he reflects on matches that i genuinely could care less about. like the cyber sunday match. it’s just a series of objectives for matches that aren’t well remembered. and with the reversal limit gone, its sometimes extremely difficult to do some of the objectives. overall this game could’ve and SHOULD HAVE been great. it’s yet another piece of evidence that 2k is just not interested in making this game as good as it can be.
