The aspect of the film that I found most engaging was the tension of trying to enjoy a quiet holiday while surrounded by a gigantic entitled and vaguely threatening family imposing themselves on everything and everyone. Haven’t we all encountered that at some point? I thought the director captured the zeitgeist of entitled families perfectly! I liked how Leda then decided to walk a fine line between kind of liking the family, and wanting to start a one woman war with them. The chutzpah that showed through from her younger self. It was probably going to end badly, but what the hell, she took them on and survived.
