Still trying to figure out what this movie was about but it has left a lasting impression as, yes, I am still trying to figure out what this movie is about :). It is the story of a very calm placid sphinx-like dachshund as it passes through the possession of five or six different people. Beginning with a young boy the story ends with an old woman facing death played by the incredible Ellen Burstyn. Through the journey there’s a lot of loneliness and a little bit of help with helpfulness between people and I guess as the dream like waifs in Ms. Burstyn’s dream at the end of the movie tell her, it’s all about the choices we make for ourselves and for others and how they link us. I highly recommend it.
