It's really sad how they messed up this important story without seeming to care much. The movie doesn't seem well thought out. It's hard to believe they would release something like this. If young people learn about the Ramayana from this movie, it might cause problems in the future. They should have done good research, watch village way of presenting, and watch epic show "Ramayana", and should have learned how to present with simplicity and grace. If they think of the villain in this movie as Raavan, it could lead to misunderstandings about the Ramayana. The special effects in the movie are not very good, but that's not the main issue. The main problem is how they showed the characters and their actions. For example, Raavan's appearance is odd, resembling a mix of an Islamic leader and strange clothing. He's even shown riding a bat, but there's no explanation for that. The characters around him look more like goofy cartoons than serious figures. Indrajit is made to look like he has super speed, like the Flash, and he's dressed like Connor McGregor. It's hard to imagine this as the Ramayana. When Lord Rama is introduced in the movie, it's not done very well. He fights random computer-generated monsters, but we don't know who they are or why they are attacking Mata Sita. The movie doesn't tell us. Even though the Ramayana has a great story, Raavan's reasons for his actions in the movie seem childish and unclear. There's a short scene where Laxman's arrow hits Raavan's sister's nose, and it feels like a children's scene and it doesn't look as a finished product. The movie tries to fit Lord Rama's period of exile into a three-minute introduction, so we don't get to connect with the characters. The only time I felt a connection was during a three-minute animated scene with Jatayu. Even then, I felt more attached to Jatayu than to Mata Sita or Lord Rama. Even the actor Saif Ali Khan's appearance is mostly computer-generated. It looks like his head is floating using Rocket on a fake body, and he's made to have ten heads. Lord Rama's character comes across as robotic, like a robot that reacts in a predictable way. I can't even consider this movie as an accurate portrayal of the Ramayana or its characters. In the end, Lord Rama defeats Raavan, but there are questions about how Lord Rama knew where to shoot an arrow to kill Raavan. It's also unclear why Raavan didn't fight Lord Rama back after that. The movie's ending has a lot of computer-generated scenes, lasting 30 minutes in a three-hour film. This focus on special effects takes away from the main story and makes it hard to connect with the characters, which is a big problem. The dialogues in the movie are not good. They switch between proper Hindi and slang language, which feels strange. Lord Hanuman, a significant character, uses phrases that sound inappropriate and disrespectful. One of the characters says things like "jalegi tere baap ki", "Lanka laga denge" and is being told that "ye teri bua ka bageecha hai ki tu tehelne aa " . These dialogues show a lack of respect. Another character, Indrajit, says "Mere ek sapola ne tere Shesh naag ko lamba kardiya", don't understand how inderjit know he is Shesnaag. Overall, this movie is extremely disappointing. It's not something that follower of Lord Rama or anyone in general should watch. It's better to avoid spending your money and time on it.
