The film starts exactly as the blurb describes with a farther taking their daughter to a concert. The film even at this very early point becomes somewhat repetitive and stale due to badly written dialogue.
I will admit I fell asleep at this point, and when I awoke, the daughter was fully grown and trying to escape from what appeared to be a half human half xenomorph in the middle of space. I'm sure I also spotted the Android Ash in a small moment but can't be sure as I can't imagine there to be a crossover in this movie given the director has done this once before.
I regret having fallen asleep as this is probably film of the year and I frankly do not have the time to rematch what I missed as I am too busy writing reviews as I have a rather serious job as a film reviewer.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
EDIT: PLOT TWIST, it turns out I had slept longer than anticipated. The second half of the film was actually Alien Romulus, while this explains my unfortunate misunderstanding of the movie and why I subsequently lost my job as a movie reviewer. I would recommend just watching Alien Romulus instead.
