Rewatched this after approximately a ten year break and it had my full attention from start to finish. No browsing on the phone 20 minutes in. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched this, was obsessed with everything from the acting to the soundtrack. Watched it in preparation for Gladiator 2. I’m glad because I got to watch this classic again. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. Find peace with the ending and don’t entertain the second one, it’s nonsense and an insult to the original. I’ll be doing my best to forget it exists. Actually, I think I’ll go watch the original again to overwrite the garbage that was Gladiator 2.
