I'm sorry but I really don't agree how the story is starting for the simple fact when Dean went back on time when Castillo sent them and met his dad he didn't know anything about demons or nothing about the man of letters And John never mentioned to Dean or Sam that he was a legacy of man a letters and john never Knew that Mary was a hunter
