I don’t really understand all the negative reviews on here. The film is surprisingly expertly filmed by Dave Franco. The script keeps you invested with every word and every shot. The cinematography is fantastic, the characters are interesting, and the plot develops at a perfect rate. The ending was somewhat unfulfilling and maybe that’s what some people are upset about but I can’t say it didn’t have my heart racing and investment until post credits. Would love to see more films directed and written by Franco if this is the quality he’s producing.

Another Netflix original with a slow plot, choppy and repetitive writing, and solely carried by Powell as the lead. It’s not a very good movie or even a biographical film in my opinion but I could see critics fawning over the philosophical nihilism at its core because that’s where people are now a days. Would never recommend to anyone and had it been in a theater, it would have bombed into oblivion.

Don’t get the negative reviews. Awesome movie with indie spooky vibes. Well directed, upbeat, yet grisly. Very Gyllian Flynn. So glad I decided to watch this one when I was hesitant for so long. Don’t get any of the hate. It is a wonderful, eerie little film that beats most of what Hollywood has been spewing out for the last half decade.

A movie only film snobs will rate highly because it makes them feel like intellectual critics. One of the most boring films I’ve ever seen from beginning to end with a pathetic payoff.
