In my opinion Sucheta Dalal had some personal issues with 'the Harshad Mehta' as she was trying hard to convince her seniors to publish about the scam (not really a scam) in the Times of India before Harshad Mehta had cleared his dues in SBI(state bank of India) so that really means that it was not because Sucheta Dalal was a passionate journalist but because she wanted to become famous through such articles in newspaper and her mission was accomplished as she was awarded with Padma Shri in about 2005 to 2006 due to her involvement in articles against 'The Harshad Mehta'.
