Please imagine: What it would be like if Nazi production made an anti-war movie in a war-zone of occupied territory in the neighboring country, just a few miles of the genocide sites, with a relativizing we-are-all-the-same flavor? So, that is what is the cradle of this movie: it was filmed by Serbian production, during the war, in the neighboring occupied territories of Bosnia by Serbs, few doesn't miles of genocide sites commited by Serbs absolutely supported by Serbia. Of course, 'we are all guilty' narrative, as much it is appealing to anti-war drama, it is just not truth beeing offencive to the victims of Serbo-fascism led by S. Milošević, as much to the history. Unfortunately, this movie is still some sort of consciousness washing soap of the Belgrade's intellectual and artistic elite, as well as their pop-culture, who were almost silent to obvious atrocities done in their name by their country since 1991 until 1999. Other wise, it is not a bad movie if you rip it out from the context, maybe it deserves 3 stars, but not as near it is for 5 stars. About theese 95% of Google users (presumebly mostly Google Searbs): You know, in the Balkans we have the custom of worshiping mediocrity of our own group (nation/region/religion...) and a bad habit of memory loss and denial spiced with too much alternative history. P.S. Interesting fact, leaders of the movie crew had a meating with leaders of Serb ocupied Bosnian territory, Karadžića & Mladić, both are convicted for war CRIMES inluduing GENOCIDE by ICC, both are in jail at this moment.

Brilliant movie, breath of fresh air. It is a very dangerous and slippery terrain to play with pap, but director Hadi Hajaig was very successful, most importantly he made me laugh. I enjoyed every single minute of it. I don't write reviews at all and this is my first one in my 35 years. I am writing this review just because I am so surprised because of poor film critics reception. I just had to raise my voice against pretentious a**holes critics who are praising modern Netflix style deep films, blockbusters and blunt comedies (like "Long Shot"). Just have the feeling that some movie branch giant like Tarantino made such a movie, these a**licking paranoics (critics) would give almost the best scores. Also, I want to thank Mr. Hajaig and hope to see some more crazy stuff reminding us how entertaining simple movie can be, like in times of VHS when movie was a movie, when everything wasn't "on demand", when number of pixels and how "high HD" is didn't define the critical success of the movie, to remind us of the times when people with such a bad haircuts couldn't be most important world leaders. P. S. To tell these guys who are complaining about character development, it is a comedy movie, not a Dostoevsky novel.

Tarantino lost his edge, despite few great scenes and exceptional acting of Pitt and DiCaprio, over all it is a boring Hollywood indulging lullaby. Cheap moralism, dialogs sound like plagiarism of Tarantino, few shocks remained in attempt, feeling of driving a car with bad pistons... emphasise the fact that Tarantino became a Hollywood's golden calf, which nobody questions any more. So, 'movie lovers' enjoy in a movie made for movie lovers.
