The Walking Dead was easily one of the best TV shows to come out in quite awhile. At first I wasn't sure if the comic would transfer well, the comic was rather intense. However, AMC allowed Darabont to go all out and despite AMC not being HBO, the content was rather graphic like the come, and the story telling, while loyal to the comic, also made some extreme changes that kept things surprising even for those who had read the comic for years prior to the show. However after 8 seasons it started to lose some of its edge, and its still going, at least until the winter of 2022, it should have ended after Rick beat Negan, they should have showed society being rebuilt in a future vision of Rick's and wrapped things up, but despite going from 14 million viewers to 2 million, AMC just refused to see that it was over. That's the smart move the Dufffer's are making with Stranger Things, it ends after the next season, five seasons of a story is just good enough...otherwise things just get repetitive.
