People here rating this as 1-star and commenting how the whole movie doesn't make sense, especially about the main character, makes me laugh so bad. Go on, watch movies that wasted 3/4 of the duration to boring elaboration why the characters been like that. Like why can't we just focus on the exciting part?
The Substance indeed hook me up from the beginning of the movie until the end. I can say it has no boring scenes. Unlike some other movies that you have to listen the crap out of 3/4 duration before the exciting part unfold.
The movie makes sense and exciting. Yall act like professional critique motherfuckers. So what if the main character, Elizabeth, felt like that and do things unnecessary for her well-being? That was good actually as plot. Yall just lack EMPATHY.
