The so-called launch pad for the star kids is totally lacklustre. Save yourself the agony and skip it. The story is predictable. Way too many characters, all fashionably styled, all the time. I don't know why it had to be called Archies though! Just to piggyback on a famous name? Coz clearly the soul, the camaraderie, the fun from the original was missing. The only upside I could see was the cinematography. Its refreshing and setting the tone for the story. However, the biggest let-down are the actors themselves. Seems that some thorough acting workshops could have helped. The way they speak their dialogues, specially the leading trio, can be best described as just mumbling and muttering. Is it too much to ask these posh kids to just enunciate the hindi words better? They also emote weirdly. Setting aside the fact that it's their first time in front of the screen, even simple expressions seem like too much of a burden for them!
