Before watching The Legend of Vox Machina, I didn't know much about Critical Role and did not have much interest in listening or watching their streams. I also did not have an interest in DnD. But after my husband introduced me to this animation and watched seasons one and two, I have not only watched all of Campaign 1, watched several episodes of Campaign 2, watched a couple of their one shots, I am now about to join my third party of DnD. I have loved this animation and all the characters. I will say it was a little slow moving with episodes one and two, but the Briarwood arc hooked me! The crude jokes, gore and nudity isn't everyone's cup of tea. BUT IT IS MINE 100%! I wish the episodes and/or the seasons were longer, but I realise animation is expensive. Now knowing more the background, I feel they have done a great job fitting in 400 plus hours of content into 20 to 30 minutes of episodes, and the little Easter eggs are fun. Season three is my favourite so far. Love the voice acting, love the animation, love the relationships, LOVE THE GORE! Also, past MySpace emo girl here and I love Percy, not ashamed to admit it. It might not be to everyone's taste, but I fell hard for it and I wasn't a "Critter" to begin with or even a fan of DnD.
