It was shocking to see the scale of tragic consequences of this policy, involving not only women forced by officials to abort/induce the baby, people who discovered fetus from induction/abortion in the trash pile, but also parents deliberately abandoned the baby girls (and let them die in the open air if nobody took them) in the hope of having another chance to get a boy, and people who found abandoned baby girls discovered a way of making money by selling them to orphanages after China allowed international adoption of orphans (as the orphanages can make much bigger money by fabricating orphan records and then get paid by international adopters), and then abduction of babies/kids by officials from families with more than one child to sell them to orphanages to make a profit! But everyone who abandoned the baby girl or forced people to induce/abort the baby, said they had no choice because of the policy! But it is too blatent to appeal to the left wing in America by adding the comments that forbidding abortion in the U.S. is also taking away women's choice like the One Child Policy in China. This is totally missing the point of respecting the dignity of human lives, whether they are still during pregnancy of as babies delivered to this world.
