Great movie. I have a theory, though. I think J. K. Rowling is trying to weed out of her fan base all those who did not get the lessons of the Harry Potter series. You didn't learn not to jump on the Rita Skeeter parade? Okay, boycott my movie because Johnny Depp is acting in it. You didn't learn not to jump to conclusions? Okay, get ticked off because I don't agree that, as Minerva is a McGonagall, all McGonagalls are therefore Minerva. You didn't learn that spells are special words, not necessarily names? Okay, get mad because a person who turns into a snake when someone says to her "Nagini" shows no real likelihood of being the same person you last saw being a snake when called "Nagini". You didn't learn to look beneath the surface and not take everything at face value? Fine, get all flustered because it looks as if not a lot happens from the point of view of Newt Scamander and completely overlook the fact that the abused orphan of this series found an identity, regained his power, and possibly his humanity. So now she's down to a fan base of those who trust her and willingly learn from her, and the next movie should be very interesting indeed.
