love the infos on detroit. i left brooklyn new york in 1974 and moved to michigan. detroit was so cool for me as it was the concert mecca of the major cities. everybody coame there... michigan palace, cobo hall, etc.thriving local scene and a lot of counter culture and rock and roll being made and discovered there... but, by 1987 crack cocaine destroyed the city and white flight began...
