*spoiler free review* The Scream movies never fail to impress me in the way that they contain that classic 'touch' of their past movies along with a perfect amount of suspense, gore, and even humor. And I fully stand by the point that these films are better seen in theater. I went to see Scream 6 a bit after it came out, yet the audience was pretty packed. And the audience REACTIONS literally made the experience of watching this so fun which is such an important aspect of cinema. People screamed, laughed, and yelled out loud---collectively, and I rarely experience, now adays, this kind of response so that was pretty incredible. Plot wise, the storyline was solid and the actors are so talented, like every single one of them. Some of the script was odd, but overall it worked. I was surprised how good of a horror movie this was, it was well thought out and seemed unrushed and thorough. It was the perfect amount of time, and the characters that were killed off and the character or character(s)?(idk you'll have to see) that were ghostface were chosen perfectly. The choices made were overall clear and smart. Also aspects of directing, lighting, music, and cinematography in general were great and made for a smooth viewing experience. There was one scene, shown in the trailer so not a spoiler, where ghostface is creeping around a pawn shop trying to find and kill the two main characters who are quietly crawling through aisles on the floor, trying to escape, and because they had to all be silent, you can hear the 50's song softly playing in the shop and omg just little details like that are what make movie moments so iconic. Soooo I will definitely be watching Scream 7 and am looking foward to it!!!
