What a breath of fresh air and beautiful reminder of how each person, children in particular, are so different in not only what they get from the books they read, but also what and how their imagination runs wild. This film doesn’t deserve the negativity it gets. My children and I absolutely loved it. It was quietly magical and artistic, so imaginative and not overstimulating like so many children’s movies are these days. The lack of dialogue and emphasis on animation, colour, imagination and music is so wonderful. With each animation style, you get to enjoy different stories - some simple and whimsical, some more adventurous, and some filled with little moments of humour. The scenes with the children in and around their Australian houses in between animations are incredibly relatable. I admire and appreciate each artists animation style, and look forward to watching this movie again after a day at our magic beach.
