Depressing and badly cast. In the opening scenes it looked like it may capture a lot more of what I imagine many families have. An unreliable mother, absent father. Blowing money on stupid ish so the bills aren’t paid etc. They threw in the special needs brother who acted his part great but I’m not sure his character was the right fit. A younger brother as a child maybe. I actually liked the mother’s part portraying total selfishness. I imagine a lot can relate who are in hard times as a result of their parents choices. As soon as it got into her selling herself it became predictable and unwatchable. Especially the ‘safe’ storyline. Too many stereotypes played badly. Visually it looks nice mainly based at night and shot well but the lead looked too posh to pull off what they’re trying to achieve. The ending was also vanilla. Just meh.
