Excellent book on the failure—up to 1976 when the book was published—of the American legal profession to provide the poor and other marginalized people with quality legal representation. Rather than deliver “equal justice” to all, the profession appears to be more interested or motivated by money. The question now in 2023 is this: Has the legal profession become more equal?
