I have never done a review before. I had no choice in the matter here. I too have a respect for Christian Dior, a wonderful man who to be honest I never really connected the name to an actual person. Now to know his life story is just the coolest. My heart wouldn’t let me move on until I did. One of the best series, if not the best series I have ever seen. It gave a small sense, which is so hard to do in just enough me a small sense of the pain, the fear war the nazis caused to the human spirit. It’s funny how true Goodness works.
Ultimately the evil and hate the nazis rained down on every person, from the beginning of the war to the end. Scorching and, leaving the scars of hate on every living thing during their occupations. Even on those guilty of calibrating, whether out of selfishness, greed, hate, self loathing or desperation for those they love, willing to do almost anything to save the ones they loved, leaving these with the most ugly and impossible of scars that don’t go away as they grow and the heart and soul regenerates.
This series and every wonderful actor in it helped us feel just a little of what that must have felt like, and even the small gut punches this series made me feel, blows that are only a whisper of the real monster they faced daily for years. The best part is these actors conveyed how the pure love and true kindness, embedded in every cell of their bodies, for others, a stranger, neighbor, mother, father, daughter, son, sisters, and brothers, brought them out on the other side with a exponential understanding of what love and sacrifice really is. It was beautiful to experience from this series. I can’t imagine the pain, but I can be a little jealous of how this pain allowed them to feel true love anyway I’m sure they’re mines and spirits weren’t able to fully process prior to these experiences. I couldn’t recommend the show more. Thank you for the series. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have seen it.
