Grew up with this movie. Lots of underdeveloped characters but a great bit of nostalgia in the modern age.

Solid adolescent movie with predictable plot line and some cutout characters but an entertaining story. Millie Bobby Brown is going to be something and she’s already fantastic. Great design on the dragon given budget and excellent voice work by Shohreh Aghdashloo who gives that thing a soul positively oozing menace. That’s what a dragon would sound like “little bird”! Great for 11-14 year olds if they can handle a bit of gore. My wife and daughter really enjoyed it - me too.
