It has a lot of charm, but still feels very unpolished. I play on the Switch, and its very prone to crashing and softlocking. Theres too many micro-transactions as well, and I've heard from other plays they don't always work resaulting in money being taken but never receiving the products. However, the game play is fun when it runs. Its a very nostalgic experience, getting to play with Disney characters. Also, with the games frequent updates, theres new things to do no matter your playstyle. I find it very engaging in a way most cozy games are not.

I watched the Pirates of the Carribean about 100 times as a kid, and Elizabeth becoming the Pirate king was a massive moment in my gay awakening. Our Flag Means Death captured that feeling for me again as an adult. It's adventurous, super funny, and incredibly heartfelt. As a pirate loveing queer person, it made me feel seen in a way I hadn't before. I love the characters, I love the story, I love the pirating, I love the romance. Truly one of the best works of film I've had the chance to watch. I hope studios come to their senses and give it the season 3 it deserves. These talented artists deserve to see their story close properly.
