Good solid performances backed up by interesting dialogue with the added benefit that you just weren’t able to identify the guilty party(ies) until the end. Unlike so many movies today, it wasn’t obvious who-done-it, and therefore kept you engaged. Nice slow pace added to the drama, enabling it percolate until the lid blew off.
