This movie is HORRIBLE in all the right ways. (Some minor spoilers) Despite what people may say out of offense, Johny Knoxville's acting is very dynamic. He's technically playing two roles at the same time. Although the Jeffy role may lack depth, Steve (his main role) has some pretty challenging character development due to the fact that he has to act as Jeffy while still experiencing the guilt, shame, and other emotions of Steve underneath the mask of Jeffy. The movie also gave the actually mentally challenged actors a break out role that lead to some of them going on to be in TV shows and other movies. The movie gave me a particularly warm/wholesome feeling that its okay to laugh at the mentally challenged sometimes because occasionally they do funny stuff and do not need your pitty; anyone with a mentally challenged family member would know this. The cinematography and plot may be pretty standard but that is not a bad thing by any means. In my opinion this movie helps fight the fear and stigma of having a special needs child or family member. Johny Knoxville's character Steve realizes that these special guys are not people to avoid but they're actually fun, funny, and genuine human beings that should be treated with the same respect you'd give anyone else. Unfortunately the positive message is being lost on some people due to politics. Overall this movie (although a tad cheesey) is 100% worth watching if you are not easily offended and will leave you with an admiration and respect for the special individuals that made this movie so amazing and hilarious. Some of you will laugh at me for this but I believe this movie will be a mentionable part of cinema history many years form now.

This is one of the laziest plots I've never seen in a big budget movie. Literally anything can happen for any reason at any point in time because an old lady/Satanist said so. Absolute anything. With no explanation. Good movie for "Netflix and Chilling" to. Great cinematography at the very least.
