Sadie Carrillo

The movie was great but I felt like there was something missing and I couldn’t put my finger on it till later when I got home and started thinking more about it. Everything seemed a little rushed and I couldn’t connect with BC’s life. There wasn’t enough depth to why he was an alchoholic and a drug addict. If he had taken some time to explain to LG why he needed drugs and alcohol to live then maybe I could have connected more with his character. Instead he was portrayed as a stumbling drunk, drug addict that only cared about his music and the bottle. He loved LG very much but not enough to change except at the end when he went into rehab. That was a missed opportunity to hear from him what his life was like growing up with a dad that was also an alcoholic and on the road as a musician too. I could have connected more with his character if I had known more about his life. If I had known more about why he was an alcoholic and drug addict I would have understood more as to why he committed suicide. He didn’t do that because of what LG’s music producer was telling him about screwing up her ife and not to come around her while she’s on tour. There were much deeper issues with him and because I couldn’t connect with his life. I couldn’t connect with one of the most pivatol parts of the movie, his suicide.,,
