Until this show came along I was a die hard Trekkie. From TOS and Voyager. I also really liked SG-1 and SG Atlantis. One of my fav movies is THE FINAL COUNTDOWN. Also like Capt American, Iron Man, etc. Shows I like THE UNIT, SEAL TEAM. I like Sci Fy and Military. Never was into apocalypse - but THE LAST SHIP is now my fav show. Captain Chandler gives all the ST captains plus SG’s Jack O’Neill and Col Shepard a run for their money though no one can beat O’Neill’s sense of humor. But this show has it all and the Navy was very involved in Production etc - the show even got several Navy awards. Michael Bay and Steven Kane did themselves proud with this one. It does not disappoint. The seasons are short (13 episodes) because it was filmed in the summers. It’s also got that romantic element that fleshes out as it goes along. And some shockers. But in my book - the BEST series I have watched. Enjoy!

I read this book as a child and loved it - and as an adult. Story and acting in movie is great. BUT I was SO DISAPPOINTED. As I started watching something immediately looked off” about the dog. I thought “it looks fake.” And sure enough CGI. I couldn’t believe it. At least you could use a REAL DOG. I wish I had NEVER rented it!!! It ruined the entire thing. If I want animation I’ll go watch Disney!
