The true definition of a page-turner: FOUND
The book overview quickly caught my attention and had me not thinking much before purchasing. I have to say this book did not disappoint! It exceeded expectations. Twists can be found constantly, from start to finish.
In terms of the characters, I loved that most of the scenes were told in first person, particularly Millie, the main character. I find myself being Millie all along, wondering what awaited me next. I don’t tend to feel this way easily when reading, which is something. On the other hand, I wish the author had revealed more about Enzo. This character somehow felt like an incomplete presence but I later learnt that he would appear in the sequel, so I guess that explains it?
Twists and turns aside that had me guessing, the romance part was what I enjoyed unexpectedly (although I wish there was a little more!) The maid and the boss? That is a lot of fantasy.
Overall, this is a quick and easy read, nothing too complicated. However, if you are looking for something serious and well-planned, this may not be for you. Some plots may not make sense, but are great choice for your entertainment. 10/10 for some fun and thrills, so why not?!
