Difficult to say it is Nolan’s best movie. However, considering the deliverance for a war movie, Nolan deserves a bow. An usual plot for a director like Nolan, who always did best with fiction, to this forgotten piece in history (May be a shame for Churchill) from WW II, Nolan did justice with an excellent cinematography. (Thanks to the iMax 70mm Camera) Again Hans Zimmer did wonder. And of course the sound engineering played a big part, where in the dialogue for the movie is just only 2 pages, its the music that leave you tightened. Best dialogue: "Men my age dictate this war — why should we be allowed to send our children to fight it?”
