Salem’s Lot…..or Salem’s FLOP? This film was a crashing disappointment. Far too predictable; formulaic; not in the least bit scary or exciting. The acting was relatively poor considering the calibre of some of the actors involved. The plot and screenplay were very banal, and the cinematography was bland at best. It’s as though the film makers thought that if they slapped the name ‘Salem’ on a vaguely halloween-esque movie, it would be an instant hit. This turgid offering is a offence to the horror genre.

A pale imitation of the first 2 Conjuring films, though nothing like as bad as the humdinger known as The Nun. Didn't know that James Wan wasn't directing this one until after I'd watched it, but you can definitely sense the difference in quality (or lack of) between this 3rd instalment and the first two. It just seem a touch passe and lacking in originality. It was too stereotypical and predictable for my tastes.

THEY KILLED DEPUTY DEWEY! ARGGHHH! Very much on the fence about this latest instalment in the iconic horror movie franchise of my childhood growing up in the 90s! Cannot believe they killed off Deputy Dewey - completely UNACCEPTABLE and UNNECESSARY - they should have smoked the weather girl instead. I also found the killers weak and unconvincing - I mean a 5'2ft 5st waif tackling 6ft 13st men? Pur-lease. There were so many obvious opportunities to strengthen a staid and predictable storyline. I'm giving it 3 stars for pure nostalgia value!

A god awful film, and an utterly abject disappointment after the tremendous success of the first couple of movies from 'The Conjuring' series. Badly acted; far too predictable; very cliched and corny. Not in the least bit scary (unless you're naturally of a nervous dispostion). Quite preposterous in all honesty.

A strange, silly, and somewhat comical film. Littered with cliches and stereotypes. Quite basic acting and unendearing characters, though worth a watch providing you don't take it (or yourself) too seriously.

A fantastically emotive and emotionally gripping film. Inspiring, poignant, edge-of-your-seat stuff. Fantastic cinematography bolstered by convincing and sympathetic acting. I only wish the film hadn't finished so soon!

A slow, boring, disjointed film which dragged on for 1 hour too many and made me resent the very sight of Brad Pitt's face.
