The love of the two main characters is what made the original crow so moving and atmospheric. This remake turned that into a drug induced, lustful fling. Where the two characters didn't find happiness in one and other they just fed of eachother addictions and toxic behaviour. So the death/resurrection created no sence of emotion in me. Eric had to be told what to do when he came back to life which dissolved all feelings of pure vengeance and being led by his love, Shelly was able to be brought back to life in replace of him??? took away from the emotion of the original crow, where he was only able to rest once he got revenge for his love. The villan characters were one dimensional and lacked motive, Briefly explaining that the guy made a deal with a demon? the devil? to make people do bad things so his soul would be saved? idk the plot was all over the place, with holes everywhere. The gore didn't have any meaningful impact, script sounded as if it was written by a teenage tumblr girl, They made Eric an emo and traumatised but gave no backstory for him other than his horse died? lacked any sence of storytelling with the entire begining being dedicated to the love of the main characters, but all they did was party and sleep together. waste of time
