It’s a moving and nostalgic movie if you’re old enough. For younger audiences it’s a great story that won’t bog down in period details. Not much prior knowledge needed to like this great movie!
It’s a great portrayal that Dylan was a Big Story in a decade of big stories. It’s about “the times they were a changin” and more. The movie is also equally impressive for what it left out as what it put in, thereby making it clean and understandable without getting off into details that might have dirtied things up and left viewers feeling overstimulated and under appreciative of the phenomenon and enigma of Dylan. I loved it. I hope it wins awards. It’s got my vote for a few Grammies. I can recommend this as one of best movies ever made about a musical artist. No sex, no drugs, no violence (well, one punch), no special effects, just story. And it’s a helluva story!
