I’m not a game reviewer just a gamer. I personally enjoyed the game. I just beat it literally today just before writing this. Love the graphics, great story and loved the gameplay. I never had an issue with stuttering or anything else a single time I played this game over the past few days. Which leads me to believe that alot of these influencers online are just lying. I’m playing on PS5. My personal favorites were Deadshot and Harley because initially they are the easiest to control and play ( my personal opinion). I eventually got used to King Shark and C. Boomerang. I enjoyed the story, felt like Rocksteady doing what they do best but just not with a Batman brooding background. During the first 3 or 4 chapters it’s basically a story tutorial with very short missions. As the game goes along the baddies get bigger and harder but you also get stronger better weapons etc. Is it repetitive, yes, yes it is. But the reasons behind each mission you do makes it worth similar battles thru out leading to each super hero confrontation. It’s repetitive in the fact that you fight similar enemies but not always the same type groups of enemies. So go to this area shoot shoot get this enemy or item type thing so on and so forth. But the side missions break it up with fun and challenging side objectives that enhance the main story. The main story is funny, dramatic at times and just really messed up like dang didn’t expect that type of situation. So all in all I’d say it’s a fun shooter with a wonderful comic book story. 8/10 in my opinion. I played by myself as my friends and I just haven’t had the time to play multiplayer yet but I hear that its really fun dimension jumping. Try it out thru GameFly if you’re still apprehensive or buy it later when it gets cheaper. But as someone who payed full price, I think it was worth it and will be jumping back in asap. Hey everyone first time writing a review. Picked up my copy yesterday for ps5. If you played fallen order then this picks up 5 years after. Graphically this game looks tons better than the original if your on quality mode. About the same on performance at 60 fps. I prefer quality and the detail and color palate is absolutely beautiful. And the detail is incredible. However I did experience a short framerate drop a couple hours in, again it was brief. Nothing game breaking. If you were following the game it does come with massive day 1 patch. 50 gb. Also respawn put out a statement saying to PC players they are aware of issues across the board that many varied pc's are having issues and are working to fix it, but it takes time with so many different custom pc's out there. So you PC players beware before purchasing. Don't listen to these 1 and 2 star reviews on PC, it's their custom machines not the game. On Ps5 it's great and my brother in law on Xbox series X states no real issues other the one I experienced as well. Even on quality mode combat is fluid. You have all the powers you ended fallen order with and expand from there. Oh the platforming does seem to be heavier than fallen order as well. Lastly I bought the deluxe edition. Mainly because I'm not patient enough for the release of Luke and Solo outfits and weaponry, but hear me out, it's only cosmetic. If you're not like me, save yourself $20 and get the standard. Tgere is alot of customization to be had but you have to find them. It doesnt start out with you building your custom Cal, face wise anyway. Respawn and jumped on board together when titanfall 2 came out. I really appreciate the stories they create. Not a fan of the battle royale so some if you may find those games they make enjoyable too, but if you're looking for great story, an attention to detail and fun fluid combat. Then this is the sequel you've been looking for. Hope this helps everyone.
