really amazing one of a kind story and gameplay is pretty fun if you invest but there is alot of design flaws in the combat. the second one adresses this but creates a few new flaws but altogether better. the tone of the story kind of changes but its an alltogether smooth transfer between 1 and 2 i think. they had to change all the voice actors in the second one because of some sort of union strike back when it was in development, i think. dont qoute me on that. the new voice actors are fine. sebastions alot more talkative but hes also not unbeknownst to himself walking around in someone elses brain, so i think thats why hes more talkative cuz hes not in some half-REM state. great series. i hope a 3rd comes out with further improvements and continued dedication to the lore its built. i hope for a game where you play as joseph hunting down ruvik. set between 1 and 2. i can always dream. these games did not sell well at all.

easily the most polished devil may cry yet. if you want to git gud get ready to invest time. theres ALOT of moves to learn. lots of muscle memory. this is the definitely the doom of third person action games. gotta go fast, gotta get in and out of there with your swords and guns and tools, gotta memorize all these buttons and switch your stuff up nice and quick. once you learn what attack does what from what boss and dont spam buttons or get your muscle memory locked up you'll do good on the harder modes. its easy enough on the first few difficulties with all the continues they give you if you just want to see cool combos and bosses and a very fanservic-ey story.
