The movie was supposed to be about the last supper. Instead it was about the life and ministry of Jesus Christ with too much distraction on Judas E. . The scene where Jesus came forth out of the garden of G. Was incorrect. When Jesus stepped forward and said I am he, in answer to his request to come forward and identify himself, the soldiers were initially fearful and stepped back fearful. From there he was taken we know to jail. Not beaten and dragged. Next, the whole purpose of the last supper was portrayed as just a physical svent, not addressing its spiritual significance. At the last supper Christ established the sacrament prayers with regards to the bread and water. That it represented the remembrance of him, and a renewal of baptismal covenants. That as we take the sacrament with a broken heart and contrite spirit our baptismal covenants are renewed that we may have his spirit to be with us. Whereas previous to this time, the sacrament was done through animal sacrifice. Depicting the coming of the savior and his sacrifice for mankind. Too much focus on his dead, not enough focus on the great purpose of Jesus sacrifice for the sins of mankind to include Adam’s transgression. Also, the ascension of the resurrected Christ to heaven.
Also, weather following was mor than just rain, much more intense and darkness as it was 3rd day when sun rose again.
Movie was not focused on the last supper not its spiritual importance. Producer, missed the boat on this movie.
A typical Hollywood movie. Acting good, location good, etc. but spiritual meaning lost, and focus of movie was not the last supper. Too much tried to be covered in 1 hour 20 minutes. Nice try but suspect movie attendance will fall off after a few days once people see the movies missed mark. Word will get out and audiences will wain. I hope the movie covers costs. If as I felt a movie more about Christ, not enough development on the atonement and resurrection.
