Failed to hold to a number of traditional Mission Impossible tropes. Too focused on "Tom as an amazing hero". They need to reconnect with what made the original franchise great. Still as a fan of the franchise going back to the TV series, I'm still glad to have seen it.

Reaches a little too far in terms of AI, politics, greed, and geo political concepts. What's left? Mostly unlikeable characters.
