Breathtaking story telling, highly recommended for mystery lovers and curious minds.
Overall:
You won't be able to read just a few pages at a time, the author does an excellent job in keeping the audiences curiosity at a high from the very beginning in this dramatic and compelling mystery novel. The Hidden Agenda will leave you aghast at a lot of places, fall in love with Emily's smile, adore how a gentleman of a man Jack is, feel pity and disgust for Mr. Lee all at the same time. Travel from the little town of Huntsonville to China with a beautiful imagery that the author successfully expresses, making the audiences feel a part of the whole mystery.
Story line:
A smart, thoughtful and suspense filled novel relating the current pandemic was launched right on time to make it feel more relatable. Wait until the end to reveal The REAL Hidden Agenda which will give the whole 'predictable novel' takes a whole different angle. Despite of being a mystery/ crime novel, the author leaves it on such a light note, instead of chaos after the storm or leaving us heartbroken, it will leave you with a smile.
Characters:
The author successfully digs into each character and builds up every scene in a simple yet detail oriented way. It contains very realistic characters and scenarios. Every chapter has it's own twists and turns, this book will stick a sneaky foot out to trip you up.
