Ninja vs. Aliens? MEH! Only reason I watch this show is to see the old characters again!

DBGT definitely has a place in my heart, I remember collecting the DVDs as they were coming out, before it had even aired on TV. However in retrospect I think DBGT is very mediocre, it had some interesting ideas that were executed very poorly. Baby was a cool villain, and his backstory was interesting and that's probably the best arc. The shadow dragons were an interesting idea, since it tied into what old Kai said about over use of the dragon balls in the Buu saga, but it was executed poorly because outside of Sin Nova and Ice, the rest of them were all very underwhelming. Both the black star dragon balls, and the super 17 arc were horrible though in my opinion at least.

My uncle, who’s been a Dragonball fan since the 90s, got me back into the franchise with Super three years ago. Granted, Super is far from perfect definitely. Even though the Goku Black Saga had some issues (especially its ending..), I didn’t care too much because I had fun watching the series from that point onwards.
