Honestly came here to see if my tastes had changed or if everyone agreed this is sub-par. It definitely looks like the later. I love most Ken Follet books, but this one was a big let down. Characters: Poorly developed and totally forgettable. I didn’t care about any of the protagonists and even the main antagonists were boring. Plot: Every time I thought something was going to develop, it didn’t. It felt like lots almost happened but nothing actually did. Writing: Classic Follet, no complaints Super disappointing overall, hope Follet gets his groove back
