Nobody Home

Driven neither by characters nor plot nor meaning. Pretends to provide a compassionate insight into “sex work,” but it’s a shallow and boring “pretty woman” story. Slapstick “comedy” and no discernible romance in this “romantic comedy.”The usual media portrayal of sex as an activity whereby women use their bodies to stimulate men to orgasm while faking pleasure as part of the performance; nothing shown indicating how women experience gratifying sex. Unclear why anyone would bother to make this movie, and why it would win awards.

Very original, intelligent, thoughtful, moving, and absolutely riveting. Highly recommended.
