I think and believe there could be many different universes which we inhabit at the same time. This movie portrays that possibility and links it to madness. Well, our world is mad. No doubt about it. The movie uses many portrayals seen in Chinese movies and philosophy. So I should really love this. But I don’t. The collective mad moments are individually riveting but collectively revolting. Two messages emerge: just be kind and the future as in your children are the enemy. My favorite moment is the rocks gravitating together. But the main thrust is entropy.

It’s possible it will confuse you or irritate you or scare the daylights out of you. But the excellent acting will please you. For me, it makes me think I never want to meet Steven King.

This 18th century radical whose private life had many ups and downs, created the language of revolution and democracy. Every American today should thank Paine for starting the revolution that made your freedom possible.
